Hi! I'm Cody Krause.
I graduated magna cum laude at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's degree in computer science. I concentrated primarily on game design and development, and have developed multiple games to expand my skillset. I have created in multiple popular engines (including Unity), developed singleplayer and online multiplayer games, collaborated on multiple teams, designed advanced and expandable game systems, deployed to mobile and desktop devices, and honed my skill in 3D (VR and non-VR) and 2D (top-down and side-scroller) game styles.
TestParkourv2
A massively popular parkour and climbing game built for VR in Rec Room. The game has reached over four million room visits, and was continuously updated over multiple years to include new climbing towers, parkour sections, and purchasable cosmetics.
I was responsible for designing towers and programming cosmetic abilities. Additionally, I designed a multiplayer-synced timing system to increase engagement with the parkour courses and towers. This game was developed in Rec Room; an experience built on top of the Unity Engine.
Office Panic
A tense 4-vs-1 online multiplayer party game where up to four office workers collaborate to find and vanquish the ghost of their former employer before the ghost defeats them. Wielding only flashlights and a pulsing radar, the office workers must band together or risk being picked off one-by-one by the ghost.
This game was developed exclusively by myself in the Godot Engine. As such, I obtained a strong grasp on network code, and designing systems to work online.
Lasso Legend
A fluid 3D platforming game set on the fractured sky islands of a wild-western world. Playing as a cowboy with his trusty lasso, the player must dash across the map by flinging themselves to tree branches and poles while dodging spiny cacti and bramble.
This game was developed and designed alongside another developer in the Unity Engine.
